Right before Rikki was about to walk down the aisle (at their outdoor ceremony) it started to rain. With a “let’s do this” from Jackson, they went ahead with the outdoor ceremony anyway, making it one of the most romantic ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed. Jackson’s sisters sang as Rikki made her way towards him, everyone cried (including myself and the celebrant!!), everyone laughed and the rain could be heard softly dancing on the guests umbrellas as Rikki and Jackson exchanged their own vows.  The rain didn’t stop all day and it poured when we were meant to be doing their shoot, only allowing us a quick 5 minutes for a few photos in the fields. When it was time for the first dance, the rain had cleared and the stars were shining. Rikki, Jackson, their fur-baby Artie, and all the guests hit the puddles for a night of dancing and singing (and rapping).

In Rikki’s words ” If Saturday is anything to go by, life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the rain.”
